Building My Proxmox Server: A Journey in Skill Development

Embarking on a journey to hone my technical skills, I initiated a project that transformed an old desktop into a Proxmox server tucked away in my closet. This endeavor serves as my playground for delving into various domains including virtualization, cybersecurity, network administration, server management, and web development.
The primary objective behind this project was twofold: to provide myself with a hands-on environment for practice and to demonstrate my proficiency in managing complex systems.
The journey commenced with the installation process on the spare desktop I had at my disposal. This setup proved to be ideal as it offered the flexibility to experiment with different configurations, including the setup of clusters.
Since its inception, running this system has been a learning curve, particularly in delving deeper into the intricacies of the Linux operating system and configuring diverse application servers. Moreover, it provided me with a safe environment to sandbox and practice Active Directory in Microsoft Server 2019.
Looking ahead, I envision leveraging this system to further expand my skill set within the realm of software development. Hosting and deploying web applications will serve as a practical exercise to enhance my capabilities in this domain.
This page will serve as a dynamic platform for documenting my projects and detailing my endeavors on this Proxmox server. Stay tuned for updates as I continue to push the boundaries of my knowledge and expertise.
